The child of Promise is standing in the midst of all of the swirling issues and paradigms going on in his world.
Inside of his heart is a raging fire with Psalm 40 inscribed in Hebrew.
Psalm 40:1-3
"I waited patiently for the Lord;
And He inclined to me,
And heard my cry.
He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,
Out of the miry clay,
And set my feet upon a rock,
And established my steps.
He has put a new song in my mouth-
Praise to our God;
Many will see it and fear,
And will trust in the Lord."
All of these elements are things that this man is pondering and questioning about life and the world around him.
-Columns of different women and next to it reads,"Pretty?"
-He's questioning what society, the media and the his cultural surroundings have done to sway his view of
true beauty.
-War, taxes and the word "spend" are inlayed.
There's a sheet of music that has been badly tattered and worn. The musical note that is painted in orange represents the fire with in him composing a new song.
Medium: Acrylic paint, magazine/newspaper cutouts and rubber cement.(SOLD)

This is really great. I'm kind of amazed that there is a $20 bill just chillin' there. Love all the details and especially all the different kinds of wars being represented, displaced around the Hebrew passage of rescue, ending with the fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of understanding, and hope for all the nations.
I love this work of art. It's so rich with symbolism. It's wonderful to see you using your God-given talents to bless and encourage others.
Thank you guys. I'm glad that you enjoy it.
Matt- By the way the twenty dollar bill is a cut out from a magazine
Dang, I really was hoping that $20 was real so I could borrow it. It's fascinating seeing your artwork and then the enjoyment is only compounded when I get to hear all the reasoning behind the images.
Thanks Carrie
